Does MaxClass have a privacy policy?

Yes we do. You can always find it here: www.maxclass.com/privacy

We work hard on keeping your data protected and secure.

How do I hide my e-mail address?

You don’t have to because we do it for you! Whenever you send a message through MaxClass, we use a special coded e-mail address. You can even reply to an e-mail and your e-mail address will be replaced by this special e-mail address.

If you ever start getting messages that you don’t want (spam) on that special e-mail address you can reset it. Go to My info > Preferences > MaxClass e-mail address.

I don’t want other people to see my address. How do I make sure they don’t?

Click on “My info” and then choose “Preferences”. Under “Privacy” you can decide who can see your address information. You can decide which people in your class can only see certain items or if the rest of the school can too. Don’t forget to click on “Save”.

I’m a member of several schools. How do I set the privacy settings for each school?

Click on “My info” and then “Preferences”. The top settings are the default settings for all schools but you can have school specific settings, which are shown below the default settings.

Just unlock the specific settings and change them there.

An example

A parent has children in three schools. In School 1 everything should be kept totally private except for the teachers and class managers in the class with the child in it. In the other schools everybody is allowed to see everything.

  1. Set the default settings all to “Everybody”.
  2. Open the School specific settings for School 1.

Set “In the classes I'm a member of”  to “Teachers and managers””

Set “In other classes in the school” to “Only school managers”.

  1. Leave the school specific settings for School 2 and 3 closed.

Don’t forget to click on “Save”.

I have linked the address of my children with mine. How do I set my child’s privacy settings?

You can link a pupils address to a parent address in “Profile” in “My info”). In this case the parent’s privacy settings are used to avoid a leak of information.

Once you unlink the address, the pupils own privacy settings will be used.
