2025 3 Hour NY SAFE: Identity Theft, Cybersecurity & Required Conduct OSS (17487)

Welcome to the 2025 3-Hour New York SAFE Continuing Education Course! This course is broken into three chapters: Identity Theft, Cybersecurity & Required Conduct. In Chapter 1, we will discuss identity theft and what New York is doing to combat the increasing problem. In Chapter 2, we will discuss cybersecurity as a whole and dissect the New York Cybersecurity Regulation. In Chapter 3, we will go back to basics and talk about the laws that govern mortgage loan originators in this state, with a spotlight on prohibited acts and administrative actions that can be taken by the New York Department of Financial Services.
